Terms and Conditions

Pickup is in person only, in Santa Cruz, California. Community Seed does not ship, mail, or deliver auction items. Please bid only if you (or someone you designate) can collect your item in Santa Cruz.

1. To participate in bidding, each bidder must agree to the Terms and Conditions presented here. By providing your email address, you are stating that you agree.
2. All auction items must be collected IN PERSON in Santa Cruz, California. Community Seed does not ship, mail, or deliver items under any circumstances, and does not arrange couriers or freight. If you cannot travel to Santa Cruz, or send someone you designate on your behalf, please do not bid.
3. Each bidder assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold Community Seed and its auctioneers and volunteers, harmless from any liability.
4. Community Seed reserves the right to add or withdraw auction items, without notice, to or from the auction.
5. Some items may be subject to limitations/restrictions, particularly gift certificates. By bidding on these items, the bidder agrees to accept these limitations and restrictions.
6. For auction items which are services to be performed or items to be ordered, it is the buyer's responsibility to make arrangements directly with the donor.
7. The auction item value listed is an estimate of Fair Market Value (FMV). Items have not been professionally appraised. Community Seed is a 501(c)(3) organization. Any bid over the item's FMV is considered a donation and may be tax deductible.
8. Auction items close on the 24th of each month. The winner will be notified via email and instructed re: accepted payment methods and available pickup location/time to collect their winnings. Within 3 days, you must confirm your win and agreement to pick up by replying to the email or the item will be offered to the next-highest bidder or re-listed.
9. Following your payment, pick up your winnings in person, in Santa Cruz, California, at the designated location/time. Auction items will not be shipped or delivered. If you cannot/do not appear at the agreed-upon location/date, it is your responsibility to make other arrangements. Any item not picked up after 90 days from the auction closing date will be considered abandoned and become property of Community Seed, along with any payment made, which will be treated as a donation to Community Seed.
10. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be permitted. Items are not redeemable for cash.
